Spelling Star is designed to be used by users of all ages, including children under the age of 13 with the involvement of and pre-authorization by their school, teacher, parent or legal guardian.
Under the COPPA definition of personal information, the only data that Spelling Star collects is the audio file containing the voice of the user who records the spelling words; the user could be a child under the age of 13. Spelling Star does not transmit this data back to us unless a list is shared using the Share feature in the app. The text and audio for Shared Lists is stored on a server (or database) so it can be shared with other users of Spelling Star and between mobile devices. We do not share any of our Shared Lists with third party businesses. Shared Lists may be automatically deleted without notice after two years if they have not been used at all. Shared List codes are not publicly shared by Top Class Apps without prior permission from a school, teacher, parent or legal guardian. Refer to our Shared Lists page for examples.
