Privacy Policy

We are committed to maintaining your privacy and trust. This privacy policy explains how we collect, protect, use, and share information about you, including on our Web site, and/or through our apps. We hope this information increases your confidence in Top Class Apps and enhances your experience on this Web site.

1. Web Site Traffic Data

TopClassApps.com collects the following information from you automatically when you visit this site:

TopClassApps.com utilizes Google Analytics to collect this traffic data. This information is used to administer and improve your experience on the web site, to help diagnose and troubleshoot potential server malfunctions, and to gather broad demographic information. We do not share this information with anyone else.

2. App Data Collected

Spelling Star

Spelling Star stores data (text and audio of the spelling words) from the lists you create and the words you’ve spelled correctly on your local device, but it does not transmit this data back to us unless a list is shared using the Share feature in the app. The text and audio for shared lists is stored on a server (or database) so it can be shared with other users of Spelling Star and between mobile devices.  Shared lists may be automatically deleted without notice after two years if they have not been used at all.

Math Mountains

We do not collect any personal data from Math Mountains: Add & Subtract or Math Mountains: Multiply & Divide.

3. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

Spelling Star is designed to be used by users of all ages, including children under the age of 13 with the involvement of and pre-authorization by their school, teacher, parent or legal guardian.

Under the COPPA definition of personal information, the only data that Spelling Star collects is the audio file containing the voice of the user who records the spelling words; the user could be a child under the age of 13. Spelling Star does not transmit this data back to us unless a list is shared using the Share feature in the app. The text and audio for Shared Lists is stored on a server (or database) so it can be shared with other users of Spelling Star and between mobile devices. We do not share any of our Shared Lists with third party businesses.  Shared Lists may be automatically deleted without notice after two years if they have not been used at all. Shared List codes are not publicly shared by Top Class Apps without prior permission from a school, teacher, parent or legal guardian. Refer to our Shared Lists page for examples.

If you are a teacher, parent or legal guardian of a student and wish to request the deletion of a Shared List that has been created by a child under the age of 13, please contact us. Be sure to include the six character code for the Shared List you are requesting to be deleted. This is found within the Manage Lists section in the app. Before processing your request, we may verify your identity and your relationship with the child under the age of 13.

Under the COPPA definition of personal information, we do not collect any personal information from Math Mountains: Add & Subtract or Math Mountains: Multiply & Divide.

If Top Class Apps learns that it has inadvertently collected Personal Information or Persistent Identifiers from children under the age of 13 without prior parental or teacher consent, Top Class Apps will take appropriate steps to delete this information.

4. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We will inform you if we substantially modify the way we handle your personally identifiable information by posting a notice on the Web site, and we will give you the opportunity to opt-out of whether we use your information in a different manner than described above. The most recent version of the Privacy Policy always will be posted on the TopClassApps.com Web site.
